Adding Monster fun to breakfast time  

The Brief

After the much-loved Monster fell out of favour he underwent a rebrand and a recipe refresh to bring the sugar down and keep the fun alive. With an existing social following that needed waking up and a new audience waiting to be reached, the brief was simple… “Make breakfast fun again and raise a smile for everyone in the morning.”

Our Approach 

Waking up a sleepy audience is one thing but a shift in the recipe meant that not everyone was happy. Conversational, understanding community management allowed people to express their concerns around the new formulation and be met with thoughtful, non-cookie-cutter responses that made them feel heard. You can’t change everyone’s option but we’re pleased to have changed a lot around from negative to positive. Our design focused on topical events, breakfast and seasonal campaigns kept the content fresh and varied whilst awareness ads served the key messages and listings awareness.
