Wow it’s been a whole 6 years of making it Brilliant!

So much has happened, but it doesn’t feel like 6 years – the time has flown. I’ve lived many lives, roles and played so many parts in that time this retrospect really helps put in perspective what I’ve been able to achieve with the agency in that time.

I’m a big believer in being the master of your own destiny and joining the agency all the way back in June of 2018 as Studio Manager I have always been afforded autonomy and encouragement from our Founder and Creative Director Laurra and Managing Director Mike.

As the business has evolved, I’ve been able to bring my skills and experience from elsewhere to drive the business forward. Venturing into print, merchandise, experiential and evolving Brilliant’s creative output and studio along the way.

I’m a people person and my job satisfaction comes from bringing the best out of people and problem solving when things are challenging. Spending time as our Head of Client Services allowed me to hone the skills I already have and shape our ways of working here at the agency.

My role really has evolved organically and as I’ve seen and seized opportunities for us to do more and polish our services in the business my passion for being a part of the Brilliant team has only grown. From pitching to strategy to campaigns to the ever changing being that social media is, I’ve tried, sometimes failed but thankfully a lot of the time succeeded to deliver the work I know me and our team are capable of.

I will, for once, give it to myself, I do work hard!

I’ve always been passionate and driven. Being made a shareholder and director here was a huge milestone in my life. I’ve always felt seen and heard here but I’m not going to say it didn’t feel surreal to be told the news.

Becoming the Studio Director felt like a real full circle moment after joining as the Studio Manager all those years ago. I’ve learned so much about myself in the past 6 years, I’ve done and am doing things I only got to see others do in my early career.

I don’t know what the next 6 years will bring but I can’t wait to see, a toast to me! Cheers (champagne emoji)
